Dr Jacques van Schalkwyk
Dr Jacques van Schalkwyk is Co-founder of Googly®, Sport Leadership Innovations and AthLead. Jacques has more than 18 years of experience in working with national and international athletes and business leaders, consulting many businesses and corporations across a wide range of industries—literally working from dressing room to boardroom. He is a sport psychologist and author—with a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Management—living and working from Sydney, Australia.
Jacques received a scholarship from the Human Sciences Research Council to complete a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Johannesburg and completed his PhD at the University of the Free State, documented in a thesis externally examined in Belgium.
He practiced as a psychologist for many years and was a consultant to the Chamber of Mines of South Africa before becoming Senior Management Consultant to Sanlam, a large financial services company. He spent five years with Accenture, a global management consulting and technology services company, where he was leading the Human Performance Service Line and Change Management in Financial Services in Sydney.
Jacques van Schalkwyk is an experienced executive coach, a dynamic guest speaker and the author of On Track to the Top.
He is a Senior Fellow of The Centre for Strategic Business Studies of Australia.
Henri Smit
Henri Smit is co-founder of Googly®. Henri has more than 20 years of experience in legal and financial services, marketing and business development. He is an experienced entrepreneur with strong foundations in sport development.
Henri practiced as a legal consultant for many years and was a provincial manager at Sanlam before becoming CEO of GPT Alliance.
Henri is an experienced marketing executive, financial services professional and co-owner of Sport Leadership Innovations, and founder of GPT Solutions and the GPT Group.
